This action packed tour is a 4 night 5 day adventure which follows a circle route and covers the entire Garden route.
The garden route rates as one of South Africa’s top scenic attractions and is annually visited by thousands of travellers and adventure seekers.
Because of the presence of the Cape Fold Belt Mountain Range in close proximity to the adjacent warm Indian Ocean, a rain shadow effect is prevalent, leading to sufficient rain to create the lush forest effect as well as breath taking beauty the area is known for!
Our itinerary is as follows:
Depart from your Cape Town lodging and head for the most wind free town in South Africa, Mossel Bay.
We enjoy magical views all along the way.
Lunch is a picnic en route and dinner is a buffet overlooking the Indian Ocean.
After a full breakfast we say goodbye to Mossel Bay and head on to Knysna, our destination for tonight.
Here we visit the well-known Knysna Heads where lunch can be enjoyed and thereafter we explore the many shops in town.
Dinner is enjoyed in one of the many cosy restaurants in town.
After breakfast we head on to Plettenberg Bay, our next stop on tour.
Plettenberg Bay has numerous attractions and we visit amongst others, the Tsitsikama Forest Reserve and partake in a canopy tour of the forest.
After lunch we visit Monkey Town which is huge and you are guaranteed to have an absolutely glorious time walking through a real forest setting.
Dinner is in down town Plett and the vibe here is electric!
We depart Plett after an early breakfast and head on to the ostrich capital of the world, Oudtshoorn. After a visit to an ostrich farm we enjoy lunch before partaking in a guided tour of the world-famous Cango Caves.
En route to our lodging we stop over at the crocodile farm where we can also see tiger, cheetah and leopard.
After breakfast we say goodbye to Oudtshoorn and head back to Cape Town.
This time choosing scenic Route 62, where a visit to Ronnies sex shop is our last stop before we deliver you back to your lodging.
The above itinerary is not cast in stone and we can happily add on, remove or change attractions as we go along.
Lodging is all standard African 3 or 4 star lodges, all having been thoroughly tried and tested previously and all found to be perfectly suitable for our stay.
Mode of transport is luxury SUV and numbers are limited to 4.
