Below are a few examples of family safaris we offer.  

Whilst we see to all the planning of logistics well before your arrival, your participation is needed with some of the day to day chores in and around camp once our adventure gets under way. Pitching your own tent and assisting with the preparation of meals is all it takes, but man, you will be a master of both within as little as a few days!

Meals form a crucial part of the safari and all dinners are prepared around our evening campfire. Although obtaining supplies might be a challenge in some areas, we will always try to find something out of the ordinary like Springbok stew and mealie pap, or Ostrich fillet with baby potatoes, corn, mushrooms and cherry tomatoes, all prepared by the team with magical night sounds in the background, or even a hyena or elephant passing by…

Over the years we have also learnt that most families occasionally need family time away from the guide and the camp and therefor incorporate a sufficient number of family events in the itinerary. This might be a kayaking experience in the ocean, climbing the Big Daddy in Sossusvlei, enjoy a horse ride along the east coast, partake in a tree top canopy tour and many more.

A further very important part of our safari is sufficient exposure to wildlife, as this might have been the most important reason for you taking part in the adventure in the first place.
Please rest assured, we will give you maximum opportunity to enjoy the wildlife by doing at least 2 game drives on non moving days and one 3 to 4 hour drive on days we move camp.
Even so, we will never clock watch and if requested we happily continue driving for as long as practically possible or until such time as you had your fill…

In conclusion we are very aware that this is an experience you may have planned for a long time, and we will go the extra mile and beyond throughout the adventure to ensure that you will cherish your great adventure in Africa for many years to come…
